Teen Scene

Teen Scene will be closed for the Summer.
Please check back in September for an update on the future of the teen room.

What is Teen Scene?

Teen Scene is an after-school room just for teens. The Library's downstairs meeting room is transformed into a temporary teen area two days a week from 3:00-5:00 PM during the school year.

Who can enter?

Teens aged 11-18 who have had a parent fill out an Internet Permission Form and dropped it off at the Library.  Teens should also have their library card with them when they visit.

"Serving 'Tweens & Teens" Grant

In October 2007, the Middleborough Public Library was awarded a two-year $20,000 federal LSTA grant to help improve teen services.  The design, furnishings, and policies of Teen Scene are based on suggestions and feedback from the teens who visit the Library or attend our monthly Teen Advisory Group meetings.

Institute of Museum and Library Services The "Serving ‘Tweens & Teens" project is being funded through the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners with funds from LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), a Federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
