Read to "Bee" the ChangeRead to help honeybees and families in need this summer as part of our conservation reading theme! The Rotary Club of Middleboro will donate up to $500 towards Heifer International's Gift of Honeybees program, which could mean providing up to 15 families in need with honeybees, a hive, box, and training in beekeeping techniques. Every hour you read brings us closer to reaching the goal of helping struggling honeybees and families thrive. You have the power to "bee" the change in their lives just by reading! Let's see how many families we can help by the end of the summer.

Each gift will increase the global honeybee population to support the environment, boost income through sales of honey, wax and pollen, and stimulate growth of families’ crops through pollination. Generously sponsored by the Rotary Club of Middleboro.

Pick up your free book!
When you register for the teen program, you're automatically eligible for a free book to help you get reading. Stop in at the Library's Main Floor desk to let us know you've earned your free book, and you can choose a title from our large selection of tween and teen prize books.
Middleborough School students are encouraged to participate in the Library's summer reading program. Need reading suggestions? Find recommendations on our What to Read Next teen page or under the Recommendations tab in your Beanstack account.
Read & Complete Activities
Read what you like—that includes graphic novels, magazines, ebooks, and listening to audiobooks—and log your reading time as you go or in chunks of time. Whenever you reach a reading milestone (8, 10, 12, 20 hours etc.), you'll earn a virtual Logging Badge.
In addition to reading, you can complete mental, physical and creative activities to earn virtual Activity Badges. Activities range from conservation and crafting to outdoor adventure and getting active.
For each badge you earn, you'll also be awarded Virtual Drawing Tickets towards the Grand Prize Drawing. Sometimes completing one badge will unlock another badge, giving you more chances to earn tickets.

30 hours of reading — entry into a drawing to win a Fahlo Bracelet and track a real endangered animal in the wild
40 hours of reading — entry into the "Super-Duper" Reader" $25 Amazon Gift Card Drawing
40 hours of reading — entry into the "Super-Duper" Reader" $25 Amazon Gift Card Drawing
60 hours of reading — entry into the "Crazy Cool Reader" $25 Amazon Gift Card Drawing
Grand Prize Drawing
We're raffling off six grand prizes to teen participants who have earned at least one badge. To enter the drawing, be sure to put your virtual tickets into the prize drawings that you are interested in winning. You can add all to one drawing or divide them up however you like!
You can add and subtract tickets from a drawing at any time up until 11:59 p.m. on August 15. Winners of the Grand Prize Drawing will be notified at the end of August. One prize per participant.
