Free eBooks & Audiobooks with OverDrive and the Libby App

Free eBooks and Audiobooks Using OverDrive & the Libby App

Read Libby

Browse audiobooks, ebooks, videos, and magazines in the OverDrive collection, borrow titles with your library card, and enjoy them on your computer, tablet, smartphone or eReader.

Read and listen on your web browser or mobile device

Borrowed titles can be enjoyed immediately in your web browser or can be downloaded to the Libby or Sora app (student reading app) for mobile devices.  Digital titles can also be enjoyed on tablets and eReader devices such as the iPad®, NOOK®, and Kindle®.

No late fees!

No matter how you plan to enjoy, titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

Books purchased by the Middleborough Library go to Middleborough card users first--so even if you have to place a hold, you'll be pushed to the top of the list.

Widen your search to get what you want

You can also search other Massachusetts network libraries and borrow their titles.   In OverDrive, scroll to the bottom of the page and select another library system, like the Boston Public Library.  Using Libby, click on the Libby mascot in the upper-right hand corner and click Add a Library, and type in your zip code.  Select another network to add, then search.

Free with your library card

This new service, powered by OverDrive, is free with your library card.

To log in to the OverDrive site and to the app, use your library card number and PIN number (last four digits of your phone number).

The Sora app is the school version of Libby and is available for all MPS students and teachers free of charge. Be sure to choose MLS for your library, then you'll find the Middleborough schools under that. Students can login with their student Google username and password. You can add your public library card to your account to access even more books.
