Butterflies with Blake Dinius

With names like “satyr,” “monarch,” and “nymph” butterflies evoke fantastical imagery of small mythical creatures flitting about. Butterflies have amazed people for centuries.

Watching butterflies can be a peaceful way to both get exercise and connect with nature. If you are looking to reduce stress and exercise more, butterfly watching and gardening can be meditative experiences that will get you where you want to be.

Look out your window! How many butterflies can you name? You can find over 100 species of butterflies in Massachusetts.

Join our workshop and we will discuss all you will need to begin butterfly watching: the hobby of observing and identifying butterflies.

Come learn about:

 The benefits of butterfly watching

 What you need to get started

 How to make your yard more attractive to butterflies

 Where you can find different species of butterflies around Plymouth county
